Open university studies for university degree students

In order to protect students from coronavirus, universities have suspended contact teaching. In this situation, open universities offer their distance studies free of charge to university degree students. The nationwide study offer is available on this page.

The distance studies offered by open universities in Finland is open to university degree students of Finnish universities to allow them to continue their studies in a flexible way, despite the exceptional situation caused by the coronavirus. Study offerings (see the list below) will be updated during spring 2020 as new courses are added and full ones are removed.

The courses are open free of charge to university degree students until July 31, 2020. If you are studying at another university, you will first need to find out whether your studies are approved by your university. Enrollment is done in accordance with each university's own practice. You can register for the courses by clicking the course name or registration info. Please note, that some courses are open to a limited number of students.
