Guide to Finnish education is a course consisting of five MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course), each covering one area of the Finnish educational system.

  • Educational support and guidance services in Finland (Opens 2019)
  • Educational leadership (Opens 2019)
  • Vocational education and training (Opens 2019)

The other four MOOCs will open in the beginning of 2019. Start your studies now and continue next year.

The success story behind the Finnish basic education MOOC is now open: Proceed to registration and payment

Please note: This MOOC will stay open six weeks after its opening date. The last possible date for gaining full access for obtaining academic credits is 5 weeks after the opening date. If you wish to obtain academic credits for the ongoing MOOC, you need to register and pay the 15 euro fee maximum 5 weeks after the MOOC has opened. 

You can participate in the ongoing MOOCs in two main ways:

1. With guest access: It is free of charge for you to participate in the sessions and pick for yourself what you want to learn. You can watch the videos and study the articles, websites and other materials included in all of the MOOCs for free. There are no assignments included in guest access and you can´t obtain academic credits.

2. With registering and paying (full access): By registering, paying a 15 - euro fee per MOOC, completing the assignments and studying according the instructions in the MOOC, you may obtain a 1 - ECTS academic credit. 

Please note: You will have to pay the 15 euro fee for each of the 5 MOOCs separately, if you wish to obtain academic credits for all of them.

You can watch the videos and study the articles, websites and other materials included in the MOOC for free. There are no assignments available in these MOOCs.
