The Success Factors behind the Finnish Education

 The Success Factors behind the Finnish education is a course consisting of five MOOCs, each covering one area of the Finnish educational system.

  • The success story behind Finnish basic education
  • Educational support and guidance services in Finland
  • Educational leadership
  • Vocational education and training

 

 

Ongoing MOOCs

Please note: This MOOC will stay open five weeks after its opening date. The last possible date for gaining full access for obtaining academic credits is 3 weeks after the opening date. If you wish to obtain academic credits for the ongoing MOOC, you can create an account and pay the 15 euro fee maximum 3 weeks after the MOOC has opened. 

You can participate in the ongoing MOOCs in two main ways:


1. With guest access: It is free of charge for you to participate in the sessions and pick for yourself what you want to learn. You can watch the videos and study the articles, websites and other materials included in all of the MOOCs for free. There are no assignments included in guest access. There is no need to create an account.

2. By paying and creating an account (full access) for an ongoing MOOC: By paying a 15 - euro fee per MOOC and studying according to the following instructions you may obtain a 1 - ECTS academic credit. AFTER paying the 15 - euro fee, create an account to mooc.jyu.fi and participate in the sessions included in the MOOC. Then answer to the assignments in each MOOC if you wish to obtain ECTS from the MOOC in question. 

Please note: You will have to pay the 15 euro fee for each of the 5 MOOCs separately, if you wish to obtain academic credits for all of them.


After creating the account there will be a delay (up to 24 hours during weekdays) before you will be able to see and complete the assignments.

Past MOOCs

You can watch the videos and study the articles, websites and other materials included in the MOOC for free. There are no assignments available in the past MOOCs and there is no need to create an account. 

The MOOCs are offered on the MOOC platform of University of Jyväskylä.
